Restore Your Smile With Dental Implants

A missing tooth affects more than your smile. Over time, it can make chewing harder, allow neighbouring teeth to shift, and lead to bone loss in the jaw. A dental implant replaces the tooth root with a small titanium post, which then supports a crown, bridge, or denture that looks and functions like a natural tooth.

Implant care without referrals across town

At Gentle Dental Guildford, Dr. Jack Golos places dental implants in our office, so you can complete your treatment with a dental team you already know. When the upper jaw needs more bone before an implant can be placed, he can also perform a sinus lift here.

Dental implants may be an option if you:

are missing one or more teeth
have a tooth that cannot be saved and needs to be extracted
want a more stable alternative to a removable denture
have healthy gums, or are willing to treat gum disease first
have enough jawbone to support an implant, or are a candidate for bone grafting or a sinus lift

Treatment usually happens in stages. We start with an exam, X-rays, and digital scans to plan the implant position. After the implant is placed, the bone needs time to heal around it – typically a few months – before your final crown or restoration is attached. Your dentist will review your timeline, costs, and insurance coverage with you before treatment begins.

Implants can’t get cavities, but the gums and bone around them still need care. Brushing, flossing, and regular checkups help keep your implant healthy for years to come.
